Serving Opportunities at The Ridge

A lot of people approach serving in the church like medicine…. they think “in order for this to do any good, surely it has to taste bad.” Nothing could be further from the truth. God does want you to contribute through serving but He also wants you to do it in a way that is consistent with the way He has “wired you” for ministry. We really want to take the approach to serving at The Ridge that we can help you find a place of ministry that you will find fruitful and fulfilling.

Many of you may already know areas in the church that are a good fit for you. If you do, that is probably because you have spent some time in the past figuring that out. Some of you may have figured that out through “trial and error” and some of you may have had the luxury of being in a church where they helped you sort it out. If you have some idea of where you would like to serve we would love to hear from you. There are several ways you can do that. You can send us an email at info@theridge.org, you can print out our serving checklist and turn it in on a Sunday or at the church office, or you can use one of our “communications cards” on a Sunday Morning.

There are needs in all of our ministry areas however if you would like a look at the most critical needs we have right now go to our “Top 10 Ministry Needs” list.

For those of you that may need some help in sorting out what might be a good fit for you, we can help you there as well. Completing the Spiritual Gifts and Talent Assessments will give you, and us, a good place to start in figuring out the types of ministries that may be of interest to you. Once you have completed the assessments, turn those in at the church office, along with the serving checklist if you have completed it as well. One of our Volunteer Advocates will contact you to assist you in finding a fulfilling place of ministry. If all this sounds too complicated, just call us. We would love to assist you in finding that right place in ministry!
