In a Nutshell

Reader. Michigan-born-and-raised. Mother-of-two, Mother-in-law to one. Traveler. Movie buff. Wife to Mark.

The Full Story

I had been a stay-at-home mom for 12 years and was just thinking of looking for something part-time when Mike Morrow called and asked if I would like to come on part-time. It was God’s perfect timing and I am very blessed to work with the staff at The Ridge.

What I Do

My primary duties include weekly bulletin creation, music and message slide preparation, and scheduling of technical teams. Because I’m more technically-minded (rather than creative), I love the schedule-driven nature of my duties. I also love to interact with the many people that it takes to create a weekly service at The Ridge in order to reach people’s hearts for Jesus.

Life Before The Ridge

I have a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering. I worked a professional job for three years after graduation and marriage. I loved being a stay-at-home mom after the birth of my first child.

Words I Live By

“Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too…Do everything without complaining or arguing.” Philippians 2:3-4,14

These words speak to me because by nature, I would tend to do the exact opposite of all those commands and attributes. It reminds me to see everyone and every moment through Jesus’ example.

When I'm Not at Work, I…

love to travel around the U.S. and internationally, on family vacations, and with my husband Mark on business trips. I also enjoy a good nap.

Something that May Surprise You

In junior high, I sang back-up vocals for an Elvis impersonator with two of my sisters.
