Jerry's Blog: When Parents Crack
I saw a post on social media this week, related to the shelter in place guidelines, entitled, “When Parents Start to Crack.” It showed an adorable little girl sitting on the couch, with her mommy’s arm around her. The daughter sweetly asks, “Am I adopted?” The mom responds, “Not yet, honey. I only put the ad out yesterday.”
Are you starting to crack?
Then be sure and watch this week’s service streamed online on Facebook at 10 a.m. or anytime after.
Sheltering in place can put some strain on our relationships, especially the ones at home!
That’s why our current series, #squadgoals, is coming at a perfect time. The focus of this series is about what God has to say to us in the Bible about relationships. Check out the lineup for this series: marriage, parenting, conflict, blended families, forgiveness, approval, and friendship.
The Bible says SO MUCH about relationships…how we treat each other. Not only will this series serve you well, but keep inviting your friends to watch online (those who don’t already have a church)!
12 Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. 13 Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. 14 Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony. 15 And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. Colossians 3:12-15
Whatever it takes,
Jerry
