The Full Story
The Ridge has been my home church for many years. My husband, Chad, and I actually met at one of the very first life groups that was started as a weekly Bible Study for singles. I’ve served in a lot of different ways over the years, but being part of the worship team and production team has always been energizing to me. I love serving alongside so many talented and dedicated people who are excited to use their gifts for God. We’re thankful for a church family that has done life with us for many years. There have been many changes over the years, but the vision to impact our community for Jesus has remained the same. Chad and I live with our daughter, Libby, near Hope.
What I Do
As the Production Manager, I get to help lead the creative process and development of content for our services. I also get to work with and support our amazing teams of volunteers who help each week in all the production areas.
Life Before The Ridge
Before joining the team at The Ridge I worked mainly in sales and marketing. I love working with people and building relationships. However, I took a break from working when our 14-year-old daughter, Sarah, was diagnosed with cancer. After she passed away in September 2020, I realized that I would never be able to just go back to life as it was before her diagnosis. My desire to invest in things that have an eternal value greatly increased. I have volunteered here at The Ridge for a long time doing a lot of the things that now I will get to focus on as a staff member. We serve a creative God and it’s exciting to be part of a team that looks for new ways to reach our community for Christ in creative ways.
Words I Live By
There is so much hope, freedom, and power in Romans 8. It’s like the best half-time locker room speech ever given by a coach. A few of the promises that are found here:
“There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ.”
“If God is for us, who can ever be against us?”
“Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he will reveal to us later.”
“For we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose for them.”
“If God is for us, who can ever against us?”
“Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death?... No. Despite all these, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.”
“And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, nether angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow - not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below - indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
When I'm Not at Work, I…
am driving my daughter to one of her activities. Planning events/activities for G.L.O.W. Like Sarah Fund, which we started to honor our daughter and her desire to see her friends know Jesus. Playing piano/keyboard, gardening, thrifting, blogging, and doing some crafting.
